Arrest warrant issued for indian magnate mallya

LUCKNOW: A search warrants have been issued for the chief minister, MLAs and district collectors for alleged corruption of millions of rupees including those for liquor licences issued to liquor outlets and hotels in Andhra Pradesh, in connection with alleged land deals worth Rs 65,000 crore that ended with the sale of nearly three crore hectares of land in Andhra Pradesh. The search warrants were issued on August 30, the same day that the state government announced it would contest the assembly polls.Chief minister N Chandrababu Naidu had on August 26 said he was considering holding a sit-in prot바카라est of his cabinet following a media report that a Rs 75-crore deal between businessmen an우리카지노d politicians had been made after taking charge of office as CM in May 2014.”As per the latest evidence, it is a matter of serious concern,” the minister had stated in New Delhi.”I have ordered enquiry into the allegations. I have also asked the Special Investigation Team (SIT) which is looking into the corruption case to examine the details.”Naidu also mentioned the case for which he is contemplating a political protest. The state government has refused to comment on the report which has revealed the extent of the corruption scandal. The chief minister had on August 26 declared in a press conference that no action against alleged corrupt officials or lawmakers was underway, as allegations were levelled based on information that a large portion of land was purchased as part of a la바카라nd deal in the past 15 years. He had also pointed out that the alleged acquisition of land was done in the name of an old couple but they had no connection with the land.”It is clear that there is corruption, no action is being taken or taken against the officials who have no connection with the land acquisition,” he had said. The SIT team had, however, conducted a probe into the matter.Earlier on August 24, the state cabinet had announced that “law and order is not the issue” as an investigation was underway and “no corruption is suspected”.Naidu’s chief of staff had in July in a statement said the state government was “taking this situation seriously” as the investigation was underway and not “a political vendetta”.
